The legendary Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Benelli, has unveiled its upcoming most affordable motorcycle- TNT 15 in Indonesia. Powered by a new 148cc, air-cooled engine, this new bike has been priced at 18 million Indonesian Rupiah, which is equivalent to around 86,000 INR (by the current exchange rates). According to some reports, DSK Motowheels could launch this new motorcycle in the Indian market soon along with some other upcoming Benelli models. This will help the DSK Benelli to get into the mass market motorcycle segment.
The upcoming member in the Tornado Naked Tre family, Benelli TNT 15, is based on the new TNT 25. Styling of the motorcycles are also similar, except the difference in some of the equipments like suspension set-up, braking system, handlebar, tyres and other. The bike houses a new 150cc motor, however, its power and torque figures are yet to be revealed. It has been styled like a proper naked sport motorcycle with bold headlight, masculine fuel tank with shrouds and a sharp engine bottom cowl.
The Benelli TNT 15 runs on 17” alloy wheels, which comes with 90/90 section front and 110/80 section rear tubeless tyres. Suspension set-up includes telescopic front forks and adjustable monoshock damper at the rear. For better controlling, front wheel has been equipped with a disc brake, while the rear gets a mechanical drum type brake.
DSK Benelli is also working on increasing its network in the country, so they can establish a better brand value in the market. Recently, the company inaugurated a new dealership in Delhi, offering all the 5 existing Benelli motorcycles- TNT 300, TNT 600 i, TNT 600 GT, TNT 899 and TNT R (1130). We will see more new dealerships of the company in some other states of the country in the coming months, which will increase their reach.
