In a bid to further strengthen its presence in Indian two-wheeler market, Benelli is coming up with TNT 400. Reportedly, the bike will be unveiled at Auto Expo and the company might it during the festive season. With the launch of TNT 400, the Italian two-wheeler manufacturer is eyeing the market share of KTM Duke 390 and we expect its inline two-cylinder engine will generate more power. The bike already sounds quite interesting on papers and will be placed ahead of TNT 300 and is expected to be priced under Rs. 4 lac.

Mechanically, the bike will get adjustable forks up front with revised damping and spring rate whereas the rear shock absorber will be offered with revised setting for improved performance and handling. In terms of braking, TNT 400 will come equipped with dual 300mm discs and new piston calipers at the front, whereas the rear disc will be around 230mm with a single pot.

Aesthetically, the bodywork of TNT 400 gets the same treatment as its younger sibling TNT 300 but there will some noticeable changes including revised headlight, tail lamp configuration and aggressive fuel tank styling. The faired version of the bike will follow the same aesthetics and is expected to arrive in 2017.

Benelli TNT 300 is propelled by 300cc, 4-stroke, 8 valves, DOHC, liquid cooled inline 2 cylinder engine that pumps out around 37bhp of power at 11500rpm and the peak torque of 26.5Nm at 10000rpm. The bike is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox and uses a wet multiplate clutch. The 400cc power plant of TNT400 is expected to deliver 45-50bhp and 35-40Nm and might return the fuel economy of around 25kmpl.
