BGauss D15 Electric Scooter Priced From Rs 99,999 Onward
BGauss’ new flagship e-scooter can cover 115 km before it needs to be recharged
In a surprise move, BGauss has launched its new flagship electric scooter, the D15, in India. The standard D15i is priced at Rs 99,999 while the D15 Pro will set you back by Rs 1,14,999 (prices are ex-showroom). BGauss has already commenced bookings for a token amount of Rs 499.
BGauss hasn’t designed the e-scooter to look too futuristic like we have seen with its other models. Instead, the brand has taken a relatively conservative approach with the D15’s styling. Interestingly, the EV maker has chosen an all-metal body for the D15.

The top-spec D15 Pro further gets connectivity features like geo-fencing, find my vehicle, remote immobilisation and a few app-based features. However, there’s no call/SMS alert or navigation on either variant.
This electric scooter features a 3.1kW (4.2PS) Permanent Synchronised Magnet (PMSM) hub motor with a continuous power rating of 1.5kW (2PS). BGauss claims that this motor delivers a peak torque of 110Nm. The BGauss D15 comes with two riding modes (Eco and Sport), along with a ‘Reverse’ mode. While the max speed in the Sport mode is a claimed 60kmph, the Eco mode caps the top speed at 50kmph.
The BGauss D15 comes with a 3.2kWh Lithium-ion battery pack and a claimed range of 115km. You can charge the EV with the standard charger in about five and a half hours, while with the optional wall charger, the charging time drops to two and half hours.
The BGauss D15 flaunts a telescopic fork and dual rear shock setup. This e-scooter runs on 16-inch alloy wheels and the braking duties are taken care of by drum brakes at both ends, with no option of equipping it with a disc brake at the front. The D15 has an accessible seat height of 765mm and a decent ground clearance of 175mm.
The BGauss D15 has no direct rival in the market. However, if you are looking for an e-scooter that rolls on 16-inch rims and packs more performance, you can opt for the Okinawa Okhi90. In a similar price range, you can buy the Ather 450 Plus, Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQUbe and the Ola S1.
