Biggest India H.O.G rally to be held in Goa

With more than 12,000 Harley-Davidson motorcycles having hit Indian roads since 2010, Harley-Davidson India has invited nearly half or around 6,000 Harley Owner Group (HOG) members for a rally in Goa.

Harley-Davidson India is planning to celebrate the beginning of riding season for the year 2016 at the 4th India HOG Rally. To be held from February 18, it is going to be the biggest national HOG rally India has witnessed! The celebrations will carry on to India Bike Week (IBW) on February 19-20, where Harley-Davidson India will present a special display of its 2016 motorcycles and curate an exciting line-up of activities.

Sharing his enthusiasm for the fourth edition of the India HOG Rally, Vikram Pawah, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India said, “The India HOG Rally is going to be a grand celebration of the adventure-loving, rebellious spirit of Harley-Davidson and we look forward to riding with our customers, many of whom will be attending it for the very first time.”

Adding to festivity is the American brand’s performance in 2015, with Harley-Davidson India achieving sale of more than 12,000 motorcycles in India since it commenced its operations here in 2010. The company continued its strategic expansion in the country by opening dealerships in Tier-II cities – Lucknow, Nagpur and Coimbatore and now has 20 dealerships across 17 locations.

Besides increasing its network, it has also introduced an exclusive HOG Chapter – Armed Forces Chapter – for Harley owners comprising ex-defense officers.

Besides this, the year 2015 was also celebrated as the ‘Year of Customization’ by Harley-Davidson India and with that, the stage was set for independent bike builders in India. Many motorcycle lovers saw a stellar showcase of customized Harley-Davidson motorcycles at the HOG rallies and Harley Rock Riders Season VI. At Harley Rock Riders Season VI, five independent bike builders: TJ Moto, TNT Motorcycles, MotoMiu, Godspeed Customs, and EIMOR Customs, came together to compete for the title of the ‘Custom Champion 2015’. These zonal HOG rallies which are an embodiment of the camaraderie, witnessed high number of participation as more than 2,650 Harley owners attended the four regional events.
