Offered in two variants: Standard and Deluxe. The Honda Grazia 125 BS6 has been launched in India in two variants: Standard and Deluxe. Prices start from Rs 73,912 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base Standard version. Honda seems to have done away with the mid-spec variant in the BS6-compliant iteration. The premium seems to be quite heavy. But for the extra moolah, Honda offers a lot more than just a greener engine. The BS6 Honda Grazia 125 features the same all-new powerplant which debuted in the BS6-compliant Honda Activa 125. In the Grazia 125, this motor makes 8.25PS at 6000rpm and 10.3Nm at 5000rpm. In comparison, the Honda Activa 125 produces 8.29PS at 6500rpm and the same amount of torque at the same rpm as the Grazia 125 BS6.
Honda has also given the BS6-compliant Grazia 125 a sportier and sharper-looking bodywork. There are LED DRLs on the handlebar cowl just like the Honda Dio BS6. The headlamp is full-LED, and the "jet-inspired" redesigned tail lamp looks quite sporty. That said, the overall design does remind us a bit of the TVS NTorq 125. The instrument cluster is a fully digital unit that houses a tachometer, 3-step eco indicator, and mileage indicator apart from the regular trove of information.
Another noteworthy addition is the external fuel filler, which should make refuelling a lot more convenient compared to the underseat fuel filler. Like the Activa 125, the Honda Grazia 125 BS6 is also equipped with a silent starter and an Idling Stop System to conserve fuel in traffic. There's a side-stand engine cut-off function for added safety, too.
The Honda Grazia 125 BS6 employs the same telescopic front fork as before. The rear comes with a preload-adjustable single shock absorber like the Activa 125. Brakes include either 130mm drum on both ends or a 190mm front disc and a 130mm drum combo for the top-end variant. For an added style quotient, the Deluxe variant gets blacked-out 12-inch front and 10-inch rear alloy wheels whereas the Standard variant makes do with steel wheels.
At 171mm, the ground clearance has gone up by 16mm. The scooter tips the scales at 108kg kerb, which is 3kg heavier than the Activa 125. While the Deluxe variant is loaded with all the features, the Standard version lacks Idling Stop System (but gets an Engine Kill switch, instead) and a front disc brake. Dispatches will commence from this week onwards and the brand offers three years warranty as standard with an option to extend to three more years. The Honda Grazia 125 BS6 competes primarily against the TVS NTorq 125, Suzuki Burgman Street and Aprilia SR 125.
