BREAKING: Honda Activa 125 H-Smart Details Leaked
The Activa 125 is all set to get the same features as the Activa 6G H-Smart
The Honda Activa 125 is all set to get smarter; well, not in terms of Bluetooth connectivity, but in the form of a smart key. Yup, the Activa 125 will be following its smaller sibling’s footsteps to become, as Honda quotes, ‘Smartiva,’ based on a leak on its website.
Likely to be called the Activa 125 H-Smart, it gets the same multi-function smartkey seen on the Activa 6G H-Smart variant. This keyfob offers functions like:
Smart Find - Helps locate the scooter in a parking lot, as long as you’re within 10 metres of the scooter. The turn indicators can be triggered to flash via a button on the keyfob.
Smart Unlock - Allows remote handle lock/unlock, while also having a provision to unlock the fuel filler cap and seat via buttons on the fob.
Smart Safe - Essentially a proximity lock, wherein the scooter automatically locks itself if you walk two meters away from it.
Smart Start - Negates the need of slotting a key to start the scooter, as it gets a knob to switch the ignition and a button to start the engine.
While we do not have any additional information about the Activa 125 H-Smart variant, we do expect the mechanicals to remain the same as the standard variant, except for the scooter to now be OBD-2 compliant. For perspective, the power output from the 123.97cc engine is 8.29PS and 10.3Nm.

This variant may be launched within a week, with an expected premium of Rs 3,000 over the disc variant, which currently retails at Rs 84,916 (ex-showroom Delhi). It will rival the likes of the TVS Jupiter 125, Yamaha Fascino 125 and Suzuki Access 125.
