Breaking: Honda Dio Sports Debuts In India, Priced From Rs 68,317
It gets two new paint schemes, plus a few other aesthetic updates
Honda has launched the new ‘Sports’ edition of India’s ‘OG’ sporty scooter, the Dio, at Rs 68,317 for the standard variant and Rs 73,317 (prices are ex-showroom Delhi) for the deluxe variant. The new limited-run model is available in two colour schemes.
In terms of appearance, the Honda Dio retains its sporty design with sharp edges and coherently designed body panels. The new ‘Strontium Silver Metallic with Black’ colour scheme features silver and black colours on the body with attractive blue graphics.
The ‘Sports Red with Black’ colour scheme, as the name suggests, comes painted in black and red shades and features red graphics in addition. Both new colour schemes look properly sporty.

Mechanically, the scooter remains completely unchanged and is powered by the same 110cc engine making 7.76PS and 9Nm. Even the underpinnings are the same as before comprising telescopic fork and offset monoshock suspension setup and drum brakes at both ends.
The Dio Sports commands a premium of Rs 500 for the Standard variant and Rs 2000 for the Deluxe variant over the other colour grades. That said, we wish Honda had equipped the Dio Sports with Bluetooth connectivity similar to the Hero Pleasure Xtec. In the 110cc scooter segment, Dio goes up against the likes of the Hero Maestro Edge 110 and TVS Jupiter 110.
