BREAKING: Ola Electric Files Trademark For The Names: Series S, S1 and S1 Pro

The upcoming Ola electric scooter might be offered in multiple variants

Ola Electric has filed for the trademark of three names: Ola Series S, Ola S1, and Ola S1 Pro. The trademarks are yet to be approved. The Series S could be the name of Ola’s upcoming electric scooter range, whereas the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro could be the names of the models.  Expect the brand to launch the scooter in the coming weeks.

Ola Electric has recently applied for the trademark of the following names: Ola Series S, Ola S1 Pro and Ola S1. These are still under the ‘examination’ phase, so they are yet to be approved. The filing suggests that Ola Electric will launch multiple variants of its electric scooter.

The Ola electric scooter range as a whole could be called the Ola Series S, just like how Apple calls its phone family the iPhone. That said, there’s also another possibility that the name ‘Ola Series S’ could represent a limited edition variant of the electric scooter, just like how Ather Energy did with the Ather 450X Series 1.

On the other hand, the Ola S1 Pro and Ola S1 could be the names of the models, just like iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. The Ola S1 could be the name for the entry-level model whereas the Ola S1 Pro could be the moniker for the more premium version. Expect the latter to offer better range, perhaps more power and superior connected features, whereas the former could be a dialled-down, cost-conscious model. We already know Ola is all set to launch its electric scooter real soon. In fact, the company had already teased its first ride, hinting at a launch in the coming weeks. This doesn’t really bode well with the fact that the trademarks for all the three names have been applied just yesterday. At this point, it’s just a conjecture to theorise the trademarks must’ve been filed in response to a conflict with other brands in Ola’s earlier trademarks.
