BREAKING: Ola Electric Scooter To Be Launched In 10 Colour Options

In a recent tweet, Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal confirmed the upcoming Ola Electric Scooter will be available in as many as ten colours. This includes white, black, red, yellow, light blue, dark blue, pink and silver, with some available in matte and gloss shades. The exact names of the colour options will be revealed at the launch event. All said and done, the eclectic colour options go quite well with the scooter’s modern and funky design language.

A closer look at the video also shows all the scooters with a guard rail at the rear, which is likely to be an optional fitment for extra protection. The electric scooter is claimed to have the largest-in-class underseat storage, capable of accommodating not one but two half-face helmets. Other notable features include an all-LED lighting system, a TFT screen with smartphone connectivity, flush-fit pillion footpegs, and a split-type grab rail. 

It will offer a claimed range of around 150km, with the batteries likely to be non-removable. But to mitigate range anxiety, Ola plans to set up a massive nationwide charging infrastructure. 

Pre-bookings for the Ola Electric Scooter have already commenced at a token amount of Rs 499 (refundable) on the brand’s official website. Booking one now will put you ahead in the line to purchase it when the brand launches the scooter and announces the delivery timelines. The brand is likely to launch the electric scooter next month, possibly in two variants going by the recent trademarks of multiple names in India. At an expected price of around Rs 1 lakh, the electric scooter will go up against the TVS iQube Electric, Bajaj Chetak, and the upcoming Simple Energy Simple One.
