BREAKING: Ola’s Diwali Dhamaka To Rival Honda Activa 6G Pricing
There’s a more affordable variant of the S1 coming this Diwali
Ola has launched its most affordable e-scooter, the S1 Air, at the price of a petrol-powered scooter. Read the launch story here.
Ola Electric is set to launch a more affordable version of its S1 electric scooter this Diwali. A source within this company reveals that this upcoming electric scooter would be priced under Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), thus undercutting most 110cc scooters in the Indian market.
Our source has also revealed that this affordable version of the Ola S1, lets call it Ola S1 SE for now, will retain most of the features as the S1 variant, as it will also feature the Bengaluru-based manufacturer’s MoveOS platform.
This implies that the Ola S1 SE might in fact get a smaller battery, perhaps one offering a claimed range of around 100km per charge. The Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube S have a claimed range of 95km and 105km respectively. With the battery pack being a significant factor to the cost of an electric scooter, using a smaller battery pack would help Ola save significant costs and thus roll out the S1 SE.

Ola recently also opened experience centers across the country in an effort to boost sales. While Ola looks to have its hands full this festive season, we are sure to expect a bang from them this Diwali.
