BS6 Yamaha Fascino Could Launch Tomorrow

Yamaha will launch a new product tomorrow and we believe it could a new Fascino

• Yamaha has already launched the BS6 FZ-FI and BS6 R15 V3.0.
• The upcoming BS6 Fascino test mule was spotted testing recently. 
• The new 110cc scooter is expected to get cosmetic updates and new features as well. 

Yamaha has begun updating its portfolio with BS6 and we believe the Fascino will be launching next. The Japanese bikemaker has already launched the BS6 iterations of the FZ-FI, FZS-Fi and R15 V3.0. A test mule of the upcoming scooter was spotted testing and it gives us an insight into what to expect from the 110cc scooter. 

The test mule appeared to have a revised, larger bodywork. It is expected to get features like LED headlamp and an external fuel filler cap. It is also expected to have a larger underseat storage bin, up from its 21-litre storage capacity. 

The new scooter also had alloy wheels with what appeared to be a 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheel setup. The current Fascino has 10-inch steel pressed wheels on both ends. With the new alloy setup, Yamaha could offer the BS6 Fascino with a front disc brake. 

While we expect the new 113cc BS6 motor to get fuel-injection, power output could be more or less the same as the previous 7.2PS and 8.2Nm. Yamaha could tune the new motor to offer better low-end grunt. 

We expect the new BS6 Fascino to be priced at a premium of Rs 6,000 to Rs 7,000 over the BS4 Fascino’s price of Rs 57,523 (ex-showroom Delhi). The new Fascino will compete against the new BS6 TVS Jupiter.
