It gets a new engine and retains styling from the SR-C1 concept
CFMoto has launched the 450 SR Supersport in China. The bike majorly retains the styling from the SR-C1 concept showcased at the EICMA 2021, however, the design has been slightly toned down (but still looks aggressive enough) and features a few different parts.
Talking about the design, the supersport looks stunning to say the least. It gets an aggressive design with sharp and edgy panels and really sleek winglets. On the front, the bike gets a bigger twin headlight setup as compared to the concept. Unlike the radical looking underseat twin exhaust setup showcased on the concept, the 450 SR gets a single smaller exhaust, and does not get a single-sided swingarm.
Powering the 450 SR is a completely new 450cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing 50PS and 39Nm, mated to a six-speed gearbox. The 450 SR tips the scales at 168kg and offers a pretty great power to weight ratio for a bike in this segment.

The 450 SR is suspended on a USD fork up front, not Ohlins, and at the rear it gets a monoshock. The braking duties are handled by 320mm disc up front and 220mm at the rear, with radially mounted Brembo M4.32 calipers. It also gets dual-channel ABS.
Currently, the CFMoto 450 SR will be going on sale only in China and is priced at an equivalent of around Rs 3.73 lakh. The bike will be launched globally soon, likely starting with Europe. That said, it is unlikely to make it here as CFMoto hasn’t really been proactive when it comes to sales and expansion in India. If you’re looking for a supersport you can check out the KTM RC 390.
