EXCLUSIVE: Peugeot’s 125cc Scooter Spotted Again
Finally a 125cc neo-retro scooter that’s not a Vespa
The Peugeot Django 125 has been spotted testing once again, nearly a year after it was last seen. While its most recognisable aspect, the single-piece seat is unchanged, its grab rail is now a higher one, which should ideally be better to hold onto when compared to the low and flat one we spotted the last time. There’s also a new flyscreen to be seen on this test mule.
Behind the flyscreen is a large slab of an instrument console that could very well be a TFT unit. That said, it could be a relatively smaller screen surrounded by large bezels, similar to what we’ve seen on the base variant of the TVS iQube.

The most interesting part about the scooter though, is hands-down the 125cc engine, making a solid 11.5PS and 11.2Nm in the UK. That means it’s more powerful and torquey than the sportiest 125cc scooter in India, the much-loved TVS NTorq 125. These things said, it’s unlikely to come to India, at least anytime soon. So if performance-oriented 125cc scooters are your thing, the NTorq is still your best bet.
