Simple Energy’s Ola S1-rival is being tested for its durability and range
The Simple One e-scooter was launched on August 15, 2021. Deliveries will commence from early next year. Is priced at Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).Our exclusive spy shots reveal Simple Energy’s first EV, the Simple One, is in its final phases of testing. According to sources, the electric scooter is currently in its production phase and being tested for performance, durability, and range to ensure it’s real world-ready.
Our sources have further stated that the scooter is being sent for testing in different parts of the country and over various terrains, so that data can be gathered for extensive research and development. Even though the electric scooter has been unveiled already, the final version will have a few design changes, precisely why the test mules have been camouflaged. Performance is also said to be more in the production model.
The Simple One has a claimed range of 203km in Eco mode under ideal driving conditions. Its 4.5kW motor can propel it from 0-40kmph in 2.95 seconds (claimed), and it’s said to offer a top speed of 105kmph.

It takes 2.75 hours for the fixed battery to charge up to 80 percent, whereas the same level is reached in 75 minutes for the removable one.
The electric scooter was launched on August 15, 2021, at Rs 1,09,000 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). Pre-bookings are open at Rs 1,947, and deliveries will likely start from early next year, which is also when the company’s manufacturing plant (in Hosur) under the first phase will be ready.
