The Gemopai Miso is finally here. It’s a compact little electric moped that could fulfil your daily commutes or assist you with B2B transportation. It’s versatile, practical yet affordable. Here’s everything you need to know about the Gemopai Miso.

Made In India:

With the exception of the lithium-ion battery pack, Gemopai claims that the Miso is manufactured in India.

Unusual But Sensible:

The single-seater moped adopts a simple design language consisting of bent tube pipes which makes it a cost-effective solution. It features an all-LED illumination setup and an LCD instrument console. 

Quite Practical:

The Miso’s unique design language makes way for a lot of space which allows you to easily transport large packages on the floorboard. And if that’s not enough, you could even fit a luggage carrier at the rear that can carry a payload of up to 70kg. 

It's powered by a 250-watt hub-mounted electric motor that delivers a top speed of 25kmph-35kmph. It draws power from a lithium-ion battery pack that offers a range of up to 75km on a single charge. The Miso takes up to 3 to 4 hours for a full charge but can achieve up to 90 per cent of charge in two hours, claims Gemopai.  

Lightest Electric Moped Currently On Sale:

The Miso’s compact footprint and lightweight design mean it tips the scales at 45kg, effectively making it the lightest electric moped on sale in India. Despite this, the Miso is capable of carrying loads of up to 125kg. In terms of hardware, the Miso features a telescopic front fork and dual shock absorber setup at the rear. It has 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres while braking is handled by drum units at both ends. 

Easy On The Pocket:

The Gemopai Miso is priced at Rs 44,000 (ex-showroom in India) which includes a 3-year free service package. The moped is available for test rides across 60-odd Gemopai dealerships in India. As an introductory offer, Gemopai is knocking off Rs 2,000 from the price of the EV. This offer is only applicable until July 15, 2020. Interestingly, you do not need a licence to ride the Miso thanks to its specifications. It competes against conventional petrol-powered mopeds like the TVS XL100.
