If one wishes to stay at the top position in any field, fulfillment of the time's demand becomes necessary. Current demand in the auto sector is downsizing; downsizing a vehicle is the latest trend in the automarket today. Compact SUVs are overtaking the regular SUVs in the market. The concept is simple, when our need is lesser, why pay for extra. The same concept is also working in the two-wheeler segment, all the major motorcycle manufacturers are trying ther luck in the sub 500cc segment. To cope up with the time, Harley Davidson is also preparing to launch a 500cc bike, which will the smallest bike from the H-D.
The bike was spied previous month on the NCR roads during test, and this month on its 110th anniversary at Milwaukee, they confirmed the launch of a 500cc affordable cruiser for India. They also announced that the bike is in the final stage of its development and will be launched soon. Recently, the bike has been spotted again during its test-run on Gurgaon-Faridabad road, Haryana, captured in the frame. So here are the latest spy pics of the upcoming baby Harley, which reveals more about the bike.
As the H-D's COO, Matthew Levatich announced about the bike, the bike is looking lighter than the other H-D bikes. However, the H-D trend of the V-twin engine and low seat height with a comfortable riding posture remains there in the new bike as well. The things which are clearer now by the pics are- a seating capacity of two, round head-lamp, wide fuel tank with a fuel cap situated on the corner of the tank, instead of the centre, a standard black exhaust tail pipe, wide rear tyre, a stylish compact tail-lamp, six spoke alloy wheels, front and rear disc brakes and rear belt drive. The new pictures show saddle bags on the bike, which were not in the previous pictures. The bags will definitely not be a standard accessory with the bike, but the optional.
We can't tell you about the performance and sound of the bike by the pictures. However, the company's COO has ridden the bike and he told during the announcement that the bike looks great, sounds great, it's a Harley, and it's priced right.
