Honda Activa 125 H-Smart: What To Expect?
The bigger Activa is all set to get some new updates. Here’s what we think they’ll be
The Honda Activa 125 is all set to get smarter. Not in terms of Bluetooth connectivity, but in the form of a new smart key. The bigger Activa will be following its smaller sibling’s footsteps to become, as Honda quoted, ‘Smartiva’. Here’s what we expect from it.
Likely to be called the Activa 125 H-Smart, we think it’ll get the same multi-function smartkey that we’ve previously seen on the Activa 6G H-Smart variant. Here’s what this keyfob has on offer
Feature |
Functionality |
Smart Find |
If you’re within 10 metres of the scooter, all the four indicators will flash, letting you know the location of the vehicle. |
Smart Unlock |
If you’re within two metres of the scooter, you can lock and unlock its handle, and also unlock the fuel lid and seat. |
Smart Safe |
You can turn on your scooter by being simply within two metres of the scooter. If the distance increases, the scooter locks itself automatically. But you can also disable this feature, by pressing the button for three seconds. |
Smart Start |
Turning the knob and pushing the start button is now all it’ll take to turn on the Activa with no need for a physical key |
All these functions can be accessed through the small digital inset as seen in the teaser. Although we do not yet have any additional details, we anticipate that the mechanical specifications will be the same as those of the standard model with the exception of the scooter now being BS6 Phase 2 / OBD-2 compliant. For perspective, the 123.97cc engine produces 8.29PS and 10.3Nm of power.

Honda might also give the H-Smart variant new colours to set it apart from the other variants. It could very well be launched within a week or two, carrying about Rs 3,000 more over the disc variation, which is currently available for Rs 84,916. (ex-showroom Delhi). It will compete with models like the Suzuki Access 125, Yamaha Fascino 125, and TVS Jupiter 125.
