Honda Activa 6G Picture Gallery

Modified On Jan 15, 2020 03:54 PM By Jehan Adil Darukhanawala for Honda Activa 6G

Here’s a closer look at the latest iteration of India’s favourite scooter from all angles

Honda continues its ‘Silent Revolution’ to meet the BS6 emission norms with the launch of the Activa 6G. The newest generation of the 110cc scooter costs roughly Rs 8,000 more than the Activa 5G. What does the new scooter look like?

Not much has changed in terms of the overall styling of the Activa 6G. The slightly boxy design of the scooter remains intact but it is slightly stretched out in the new avatar.

The rear section of the scooter is longer than before, which can clearly be seen thanks to a longer seat.

Honda has increased the floorboard space on the Activa 6G by 23mm to improve convenience and practicality .

In a similar vein, the new Activa 6G also gets an external fuel filler cap.

The fuel filler cap is opened by toggling the switch located right next to the key slot. This switch is also used to open the seat remotely. Underseat storage on the Activa 6G remains the same at 18-litres. While there is no word on it yet, we believe that Honda will be offering the underseat USB charger as an accessory just like it did with the Activa 5G.

Powering this new Activa 6G is an all-new 109.51cc single-cylinder engine which gets fuel-injection. While engine outputs have taken a slight hit, Honda claims that the new engine offers 10 per cent more mileage than before.

Plus, this motor also gets Honda’s ACG (alternating current generator) starter system that debuted on the Activa 125 BS6.

As a cost cutting measure, Honda has had to drop the semi-digital information panel on the Activa 6G. In its place, one gets an analogue panel with several tell tale signs including an engine malfunction light, thanks to the presence of an OBD.

It also gets an engine kill-switch which doubles up as the starter, a first for a 110cc scooter in India.

Honda has finally updated the suspension on the Activa. It now comes with a telescopic fork at the front and a rear monoshock with three-levels of preload adjustment.

The front wheel on the Activa 6G is a larger 12-inch unit which is one of the contributing factors in increasing the ground clearance to 171mm. Sadly, there is no front disc brake option for the Activa 6G with drum brakes offered on both the standard as well as the deluxe variants.

The only distinguishing factor between the two trims is the presence of a DC LED headlight on the deluxe variant while the standard one gets a conventional bulb-type setup.
