The teased video reveals that the Activa electric will be available in two variants. The lower variant will get a colour LCD screen while the top variant will receive a TFT display.
The top variant’s TFT display shows that the Honda Activa Electric will get two riding modes: Standard and Sport. The Standard variant will get a claimed range of around 104km on a full charge, a reverse mode, Bluetooth connectivity, music controls, two trip meters, and navigation. The TFT display will be a 7-inch unit and will also show how much power is the scooter consuming in real-time, based on the throttle input.
The lower variant will get a 5-inch colour LCD display which shows that it will receive two riding modes, speedometer, battery charge level and two trip meters.
The Activa Electric will be based upon the CUV e which gets a 6kW motor which is linked with two removable 1.3kWh batteries. The underpinnings of the CUV e include, a telescopic fork and twin rear shocks. For braking, the scooter gets a 190mm front disc and a 110mm rear drum brake. The scooter comes with 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends. The CUV e has a 765mm seat height and a 270mm ground clearance.
The Honda Activa Electric will be officially unveiled on the 27th of November and is likely to be priced around Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom). The scooter will launch and go on sale in India sometime in March 2025. Once launched, the Activa Electric will go against the likes of Ola S1, Ather Rizta, Vida V1, and TVS iQube Electric.
