Honda Electric Scooter Coming Soon, Might Be The Activa-E
The Japanese giant aims to launch it in India within a year
Honda has decided to enter the EV two-wheeler market, thanks to the consistent rise in demand for EVs and the number of mainstream manufacturers joining the EV bandwagon. The Japanese company aims at launching its very first product within a year.
We expect it to be a brand new model rather than Honda using the U-Go scooter platform which was launched in China back in August. Moreover, keeping the affordability aspect in mind, Honda could also heavily localise the scooter. This will be crucial for Honda as it also has plans to export the new electric scooter to global markets.

Honda could employ its learnings in swappable battery tech from the Benly e scooter, which, incidentally, has also been spotted testing on our roads.
With the Activa consistently being the most popular model sold in India, it won’t be a surprise if Honda’s electric division develops something like an Activa E. Once launched, it will have the Ather 450X, TVS iQube Electric and the Bajaj Chetak in its crosshairs.
