Honda NXR 160 to Debut at Auto Expo

Back in November 2014, Honda launched NXR 160 in Brazil keeping the need of off-roaders in mind. During that time, BikeDekho had confirmed that the Japanese two-wheeler giant is planning to bring it in the Indian market. If rumours are to be believed, Honda NXR 160 might be showcased at the Auto Expo. The arrival of Honda NXR 160 will cater the adventure carving of off-road enthusiasts in the country.

Earlier, Hero had launched first adventure tourer in the country, named as, Hero Impulse. With impulse, the Indian manufacturer tried to create a new segment altogether, but its underpowered engine led to its failure. The bike is being sold in International market and we believe, the Indian version will get the similar power performance. Honda NXR 160 is powered by a single cylinder, air-cooled 162.7cc engine that produces the 14.6bhp of power at 8500rpm and 14.41Nm of torque at 6000rpm.

Visually, the bike looks similar to Hero Impulse but promises better built and excitement for on and off the road. The motorcycle is expected to be priced somewhere close to Rs. 73,000.
