Honda Two-wheeler Sales Performance April 2021: Honda Activa And Shine Still Quite Popular, 4 CB500Xs Sold
Second wave deals major blow to the Japanese manufacturer
Honda took a major hit with the second wave of COVID-19. Sales of its highly popular models have gone down drastically as dealerships were forced to shut shop in most regions across the country. Here’s how each model performed in April:

Usually, the Activa sells close to two lakh units a month, the Activa 6G and Activa 125 combined. Now, with dealerships shut for over a month and a half, only half of the monthly targets have been achieved. Even the Shine (as well as the SP 125) has not been able to cross the usual one lakh unit mark.

Honda Showcases The 2021 Cross Cub 110 For Overseas MarketsWhat is even more troubling for Honda is that its 160-200cc motorcycles simply aren’t drawing enough crowds. The Unicorn is the only bike registering respectable sales, but the numbers of the X-Blade and the Hornet 2.0 are simply pitiful.
Thankfully, the H’ness CB350 has worked out well. The retro flavoured Honda hasn’t been able to sell as well as bikes such as the Royal Enfield Classic 350 or the Meteor 350, but that was bound to happen given Honda’s limited Big Wing dealership reach.
