Guy Martin, the famous English racer and TV presenter withdrew from one of the most dangerous races in the world the Isle of Man TT. The rumours of Martin’s withdrawal had started making rounds on the internet few months back and now Tyco BMW, which is the team of Guy, has confirmed the news. Reports are that instead of being a participant in this dangerous race, Guy Martin chose to join the Tour Divide bicycle race in North America.

Guy Martin made the decision because of the dates of both the event were clashing. The mountain bike race in North America will begin from June 11, just a day after senior TT and it won’t be possible for Guy to join both the events at the same time. Tour Divide bicycle race will cover 4417.6 km between Banff in Canada and Antelope Wells in New Mexico. The news came as a shock for Tyco BMW team and TT organisers but Guy fans won’t be disappointed as they will make their ways to see him racing on mountains in North America.

Guy Martin has stated that he is not taking a complete retirement from motorcycle racing and he will make his way to TT in late 2016. Tyco BMW owner Philip Neill offered Guy support and said that he will get what he wants in any race he participates. Whether Guy Martin stays in the race of not, the Isle of Man TT will be exciting as always and it won’t be a surprise to see the fans cheering for other riders as well and the thrill of this race won’t be missed.
