Kinetic e-Luna’s First Image Leaked And Top Speed Revealed Too!
A leaked image of the e-Luna moped indicates a design that prioritises practicality while still maintaining a modern appearance
After almost 20 years, the iconic Kinetic Luna is making a comeback in electric form, as revealed in an earlier story, and now the first image of the upcoming electric moped has been leaked. Judging by the image, as expected, the Kinetic Green e-Luna has been designed with practicality as the primary focus.
The electric vehicle gets a modern moped design with a square headlight, most likely all LED lighting and an LCD instrument cluster. The floorboard clearly looks beefier than the slimmer spine on the TVS XL100. This could mean the battery pack is situated underneath. The large floorboard could also be compatible with accessory carrier racks for extra practicality, and perhaps, it could also accommodate a gas cylinder. The e-moped has a variant that gets a split-seat setup, and the rear seat could be removed to accommodate accessories like a tail box. These additions should make the e-Luna a reasonably capable multi-utility electric vehicle. At the front, it also gets a crash guard and footpegs for the rider.
The Kinetic Green e-Luna gets a telescopic fork at the front, twin rear shock absorbers, spoked wheels and drum brakes at both ends. Other technical details are not available at the moment but according to our sources, it will have a top speed of 50kmph, making it eligible for the FAME 2 subsidy.
The Kinetic e-Luna could likely be launched in the month of July, with the price tag expected to be Rs 70,000 to Rs 80,000. When launched, it will rival the likes of the Hero Electric Optima CX, Bounce Infinity E1, and Ampere Magnus.
