New Ola S1 Variant Teased, To Debut In July

Looks like a retro take on the existing e-scooter

Ola Electric CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has teased a new variant of the S1 in a recent tweet. The new version might be a retro take on the S1, based on what appears to be a flyscreen in one of the three e-scooters shown in the picture. It will be a part of the brand’s new product event, called “#endICEAge show, Part 1” scheduled for July.

We reckon Ola will take a similar approach to what TVS did with the Jupiter Classic. As such, we expect the new S1 variant, along with the flyscreen, to get some suede or leather treatment to the seat, retro-esque colourways, a cushioned backrest and a centre stand.

Expect Ola to tease more details about the upcoming variant soon. In other news, the prices of the Ola scooters have gone up by Rs 15,000 due to the revised FAME 2 subsidy.
