Ola Electric Scooter Launch Date Announced

In his latest tweet, Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal has confirmed the launch date for the much anticipated Ola Electric scooter. The e-scooter will arrive on 15th August 2021, the 75th anniversary of India’s independence. 

Expect the made-in-India e-scooter to be priced at around Rs 1 lakh. Helped by a nominal reservation token of Rs 499, the company, on July 19, was able to register 1 lakh bookings in only 24 hours.

Ola will likely offer the electric scooter in two variants (S1 and S1 Pro) and 10 colour options. Head here to check out a few paint schemes.

We expect the Ola electric scooter to have a fixed battery pack, considering the manufacturer is investing heavily in developing its charging infrastructure. Here are the details. 

Its list of foes includes the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Revolt RV400 electric motorcycle and the upcoming Simple Energy One (to be launched on 15th August as well).
