Ola Mobility Launches E-Bike Taxi Service In Delhi And Hyderabad
The electric scooter taxi service has been tested successfully in Bangalore for 5 months. Ola also aims for 10,000 e-bike taxis by April 2024
Ola has launched its e-bike taxi service (more like e-scooter taxis) in Delhi and Hyderabad. The e-bike taxi service was first tested in Bangalore where it turned out to be successful. The company is planning to bring more electric two-wheelers into action and aims to have 10,000 Ola electric scooters in these cities in the next two months.
The company aims to extend e-bike services nationwide by the end of 2024, and with this, it claims that it will have the largest electric two-wheeler fleet in the country.
Ola began testing its electric bike taxi service in Bangalore in September 2023, and has achieved over 1.75 million rides in the period of 5 months. Ola's e-Bike service offers affordable rates, starting from Rs 25 for 5 km, Rs 50 for 10 km, and Rs 75 for 15 km. The company is also building a charging network, with 200 stations in Bangalore and plans for a nationwide expansion.
