Ola S1 Electric Scooter: Same Price, Other Options

Modified On Aug 15, 2021 04:39 PM By Pratik Bhanushali for Ola S1

Here are five other two-wheelers you can opt from instead of the Ola electric scooter

Ola has launched its electric scooter, the S1 in India. Prices start at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, including the Fame 2 subsidies) and go up to Rs 1,29,999 for the S1 Pro variant. But, if you aren’t sure of booking one yet and want to check out a few more two-wheelers at a similar price, here are your options

Revolt RV 400- Rs 90,799

The most popular electric motorcycle in India, the Revolt RV 400 costs Rs 9,200 less than the S1 and with the state subsidy, you can save a bit more money on the purchase of your RV 400. It offers 150km of maximum range in Eco mode from the 3.42kWh lithium-ion battery More importantly, its battery pack is swappable unlike the Ola S1’s, so the downtime is minimised considerably. On the other hand, the Ola offers a 121km claimed range, and will be complemented by a widespread charging infrastructure

TVS iQube Electric- Rs 1,10,506

If you are out for an electric scooter from a mainstream brand, then the TVS iQube Electric could be an option. It’s powered by a 4.4kW electric hub motor and claims to make 140Nm (at the wheel). While its range is just 75km in the Eco Mode, the TVS iQube too comes loaded with features. You get LED illumination, a TFT instrument cluster and Bluetooth connectivity. You can access turn-by-turn navigation, geo-fencing, range, charge status, ride statistics, and also receive Overspeed alerts. The Hosur-based bike maker offers a three-year/50,000km warranty on the iQube. The only grinch is that the iQube is available in select cities such asBengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kochi, Pune and Coimbatore.

Yamaha FZ FI- Rs 99,900

It’s not all EVs, you can also choose from petrol-powered two-wheelers, such as the Yamaha FZ FI, priced at Rs 99,990. It packs a 149cc air-cooled motor that makes 12.4PS and 13.3Nm. While the Ola S1 takes almost 5 hours for a full charge, you can fuel up the FZ FI in no time at a petrol pump and get going. Even though the FZ FI’s styling and design are a bit dated, it’s still received well by the enthusiasts.

Bajaj Pulsar NS 125- Rs 99,731

Another motorcycle on the list is the Bajaj Pulsar NS 125. It costs almost the same as the Ola S1 but gets a 124.4cc air-cooled motor that belts out 11.99PS and 11Nm. Not just that, the 125cc Bajaj is quite frugal and offers a mileage of 64.75kmpl in the city and 56.46kmpl out on the highway. All in all, the Pulsar NS125is an ideal choice for those looking for a sport and premium 125cc bike.

Aprilia SR 125- Rs 94,288

If a sporty-looking and performance-oriented petrol scooter is what you fancy, then the Aprilia SR 125 could very well be your purchase. It’s priced at Rs 94,288 which is Rs 5,711 less than the Ola S1. Powering the SR 125 is a 124cc motor churning out 9.6PS and 9.9Nm. While that may not seem a lot, the Italian scooter packs enough punch for you to zip around the city. However, it’s pretty bare bones on the feature front.
