Piaggio Vespa Elegante unveiled, Launch Soon
Italian company Piaggio has showcased a new limited edition of its popular scooter Vespa VX christened as ‘Vespa Elegante’. Basically a cosmetic upgrade of the regular Vespa, the Elegante has been launched to attract buyers during the prosperous festive season. The scooter has been showcased in Pune and we are expecting the launch by 20th September just ahead of the Festive season.
The Vespa Elegante is inspired by the Vespa Primavera, which is company’s most popular offering in Europe. It comes with smart triangular front grille, round head light and chrome guards, which make it look more premium than the regular Vespa. The highlights of the limited edition are:

The Elegante will be using the same 125cc, four-stroke, 3-valve, single cylinder engine, which delivers 10PS power and 10.06Nm of peak torque. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel via the same automatic CVT transmission, used in regular Vespa variants. The steel monocoque, single sided suspension systems too remain the same.
The scooter will be offered in two new metallic colours - Marrone Crete Senesi inspired from the brown clays of Seina Region in Italy and Bianco Perla inspired from exquisite white pearls from the sea. The prices are yet to announced be we are expecting it to be costlier by Rs. 5000 than the regular Vespa VX.
