A couple of days ago, we saw an image of the new Yamaha R25's speedo indicating a speed of 173kmph, with tachometer needle on 12,000rpm. Now, a new image of the console has been emerged during a dyno test of the bike. The image shows a top speed of 196kmph in top (6th) gear with the tacho at engines red line of 14,000rpm.

These results are taken on a dyno, however, result will be different in the real world test conditions. Apart from the mechanical losses, a motorcycle losses power in aerodynamic drag and road friction also, and the remaining power is transferred into traction. So, the practical test results always differ from the dyno results. So, the top speed of the Yamaha R25 could be upto 180kmph on a real track.

Another surprising result of the dyno test is about the power and torque values of the R25. On a Dynojet 250i, the 249cc parallel-twin managed to deliver just 29.4bhp of maximum power and a top torque of 19.2Nm to the rear wheel. However, the company claims that the engine belts out 36bhp and 22.6Nm of extreme power and torque under standard test conditions.

Yamaha R25 gets the company's conventional split headlamp design with sporty full body fairing. Curves of the machine are based on the lines of the supersport motorcycle- YZF-R1. The bike is already launched in Indonesia, while it will head to the Indian market next year.
