Speculated: Cheaper Kawasaki Ninja H2 Under Works, Will Arrive as Ninja R2

Recently, the rendered images of a cheaper Kawasaki Ninja H2 are going viral over the internet, which is rumoured as Ninja R2. The Japanese auto portal - Young Machine revealed the speculated image of the bike. From the image, nothing can be said confidently about the bike as it looks almost identical to the existing Ninja H2, except for the change in body colour. The caption below the image says - ‘16 Kawasaki Ninja R2.

The rumoured Kawasaki Ninja R2 appears in a glossy red finish with the body design remaining intact to the existing Ninja H2. As there are no specs available at the moment, it will be difficult to say that the new Ninja will come with a supercharger or not. With the speculations hinting the bike arriving with a lesser amount in comparison to the Ninja H2, it will be interesting to see what equipment Kawasaki drops in order to cut the cost. The engine might be scaled down and the power figures might be reduced to justify the statement. Also, the numerous electronic equipment with which the H2 comes at present might not be loaded completely onto the new Ninja R2.

The Kawasaki Ninja H2 stormed the worldwide auto industry few months back due to its whopping power figures and world’s only supercharger in a production motorcycle. With the 998cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke, in-line four cylinder, 16 valve engine, the Ninja H2 manages to crank out a mammoth power of 207.1bhp along with an earth shattering torque of 133.5Nm. Besides this, the bike also has a host of impressive features like Dog Ring Transmission used in MotoGP bikes, Kawasaki Wheelie control with Launch control, Electronic steering damper and much more.
