Suzuki Burgman Street BS6 Unveiled At Auto Expo 2020
Aside from engine updates, it also gets an exciting new colour scheme
After updating its popular Access 125 to comply with BS6 emission norms, Suzuki has now unveiled the Burgman Street BS6. Since both scooters are powered by the same motor, power output on the Burgman has remained the same at 8.7PS, while torque has reduced slightly to 10Nm. For reference, the Burgman BS4 produces 10.2Nm. Weight is also up by 2kg, from 108kg to 110kg on the BS6 version.
The BS6 update includes the addition of fuel-injection and a secondary catalytic converter, which means prices are expected to go up by around Rs 6,500. The current Burgman is priced at Rs 71,002. This is also the first scooter in the Japanese brand’s lineup to be offered with a special MotoGP colour scheme, which is expected to be a little more expensive (around Rs 600 to Rs 700).
Aside from these updates, India’s only maxi-scooter remains unchanged, so you get an LED headlight, tail lamp and position lamps, a 12-inch/10-inch alloy wheel combo, and fully digital instrumentation. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork and monoshock while anchorage is provided by a front disc brake.
