Breaking: Suzuki Burgman Street EX Launched At Rs 1.12 Lakh
It’s asking highstreet money for some basic set of updates
Suzuki has launched the all-new Burgman Street EX at Rs 1,12,300 (ex-showroom Delhi), today. This new variant will be retailed alongside the existing Burgman Street, prices for which start at Rs 89,900 (ex-showroom Delhi) making the Burgman Street EX Rs 22,400 costlier than the base variant.
Even when compared to the connected variant, the EX costs Rs 19,000 more, which honestly is a lot for the amount of updates we’re getting. So, what’s new and different on the Burgman Street EX, let’s have a look.
For starters, it gets a larger 12-inch rear wheel wrapped in a wider 100/80 section tyre. Compared to the standard and Burgman Street’s (standard and Ride Connect) smaller 10-inch rear wheel and 90/100-section tyre, the EX should offer better stability and comfort on your daily commutes. Further helping with stability is the EX’s 25mm longer wheelbase.
Another key update on the Burgman Street EX variant is that being the top variant, it gets smartphone connectivity as standard. Other key changes include – a silent starter and an automatic start-stop system, both of which are useful tools to have in urban riding conditions. Mechanically not much has changed, but the EX makes 0.1PS less power than the other Burgman variants
This new variant has received three new colour choices along with minor but important tweaks which should make the Burgman Street EX a fun scooter to ride. Of course, these new updates have come at a cost – it’s one kilogram heavier as well.
The Burgman Street EX will compete with the Yamaha Fascino 125, Honda Activa 125, Aprilia SXR 125 and TVS NTorq 125.
