Unlike the Destini Xtec's LED headlight, the Destini Prime gets a simpler halogen headlight without any chrome accents around it. The backrest featured in the Xtec has been replaced with a standard grab rail in the Destini Prime. Aside from these alterations, the overall design of the Prime closely resembles that of the Destini Xtec. Features include an analog speedometer with a digital inset and a USB charging port situated in the underseat storage compartment. The 125cc scooter is available in three color options: Pearl Silver White, Nexus Blue, and Nobel Red.
The Destini Prime is powered by a 124.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 9PS and 10.36Nm. It gets a claimed mileage of 56kmpl. It comes equipped with drum brakes on both end and a front telescopic fork and a rear monoshock suspension setup. With the introduction of the Prime variant, Hero MotoCorp has reverted to a more basic approach after discontinuing the standard Destini, adding a fresh perspective.
The newly launched Hero Destini Prime is set to compete against rivals such as the Honda Activa 125, Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid, Suzuki Access 125, and TVS Jupiter 125.
