This 3-wheeled E-scooter Sounds Like The Perfect TVS iQube Rival
The BeiGo X4 boasts of a 150km range, massive 60-litre boot & other practical bits
Bengaluru-based EV startup iGowise Mobility has launched the BeiGo X4 electric scooter in India. Claimed to be the ‘SUV of scooters’, the BeiGo X4 sports quite some utilitarian bits like a 150km claimed range, massive 60-litre boot space, inbuilt pillion footrest and an extremely spacious flat floorboard.
But what’s hands-down the most intriguing bit about the scooter is the twin-wheel setup at the rear, which should ideally mean that you can travel the ‘always feet on-board’ way, even in traffic. That begs the question as to how the scooter reacts when leaned over. iGowise’s promotional video shows that the scooter’s body tilts when the scooter leans from one side to the other, similar to the Honda Gyro e. The e-scooter also makes use of LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries, claimed to be fire resistant.

The scooter flaunts LED lighting all around, disc brakes up front and rear, and a design that’s futuristic. The small, round LED headlight looks like the scooter’s eye and it seems like the scooter could just get up and start talking to you anytime, like it’s out of the movie ‘Cars’.
With all these things, the BeiGo X4 is priced around the Rs 1.1-lakh mark (ex-showroom, introductory) for the base variant. The brand will also be offering a five-year/one lakh km warranty with it. That way, this scooter does promise to be a solid rival to the TVS iQube Electric and the Hero Vida V1. With a manufacturing facility in Whitefield, Bengaluru, iGo has a production facility that makes 30,000 units annually. According to the official statement, the startup has plans to further invest in automation tools and testing equipment in the final stages of production. Summing up, while its three-wheeled layout is convenient in terms of balance, the claimed range and boot space are impressive. We’re yet to see how the company handles deliveries pan India.
