Ola Electric CEO to gift new scooter to S1 Pro owner who managed this feat

Ola Electric has been in the news for numerous reasons in recent times. Be it the fact that an S1 Pro broke apart, one got tied to a donkey and got dragged around or that one caught fire

That said, this time the Bengaluru-based manufacturer has some good news to share. An owner of the Ola S1 Pro recently posted that he achieved a range of202 km on a single charge after upgrading to the new MoveOS 2.0.

The owner of the scooter, Karthik, announced on Twitter that he crossed 202 km on a single charge. He said that he used the scooter in ECO mode and rode it equally on city streets as well as on the highway.

According to the display of the Ola S1 Pro, Karthik rode it for 202 km while carrying an average speed of 27 km/h and reaching a top speed of 48 km/h.

The new MoveOS 2.0 is currently in the beta stage and has been released only to a select group of  owners, with a full-scale rollout of the final version expected in the next few weeks. It adds features like mobile connectivity, a new mobile app, a navigation system and a new ECO mode that optimizes battery usage in order to increase the overall range of the scooter.

What’s interesting is that this tweet came soon after a series in which someone covered a distance of 190 km on a single charge. Bhavish, while retweeting that particular tweet, expressed his desire to see someone cross the 200 km mark. Shortly afterwards, Karthik achieved this feat and Bhavish Aggarwal, the co-founder of Ola Electric replied to Karthik’s tweet and promised a free S1 Pro in the new Gerua colourway to him.

The Ola S1 and S1 Pro were launched last year and they’re available for a price of Rs 85,099 and Rs 1,10,149 respectively (ex-showroom Delhi). If you’re looking to get your hands on an electric scooter, you could also have a look at the Ather 450X, Simple One or the Bajaj Chetak.
