This Upgrade Kit Turns The Yamaha Aerox 155 Into A Racing Beast
It Includes USD, dual-disc set up, rear monoshock and more!
The sportiest scooter in the country, Yamaha Aerox 155, can now be morphed into a full blown performance machine with this upgrade kit by a Bengaluru-based custom house called Dismotech. The whole upgrade kit costs Rs 98,000, read on for more details.
The Aerox 155 with this kit receives a bunch of upgrades including a USD fork up front and monoshock at the rear, in place of the conventional fork and dual shock absorbers set up. The rear also gets an option for a dual shock absorber, both the options are bolt-on and can be fixed onto the scooter without any hassle. The rear monoshock comes with a bracket that connects the two shock absorber points into one for the monoshock. However, only a thorough test of this setup will tell us how it affects the scooter’s handling.
Taking it one step ahead is the dual disc brake up front and a single disc at the rear. Another interesting addition is the radial master cylinder brake levers for more precision while braking. The rear disc, too, is a bolt-on one and doesn’t need any cutting and welding. The stock scooter gets a single disc up front and a drum bake at the rear. The rear disc will add to a better braking performance, however, dual-discs up front is an overkill for what essentially is a 155cc scooter.
You also get 120mm front and 150mm rear tyres to roll on with the upgrade kit, 10mm fatter than the stock Aerox 155.

The whole upgrade package includes - front USD for Rs 18,000, rear disc conversion for Rs 22,000, rear monoshock or dual shock absorber at Rs 22,000, callipers costing Rs 4,000 each, alloy wheels at Rs 14,000.
Summing up, Rs 98,000 is a costly investment and almost 75 percent of the actual cost (Rs 1,34,000 ex-showroom Delhi) of the stock scooter. However, you do get an insane attention-grabbing performance machine with the kit. Can’t really put a price on that, can you?
