Top 5 Best Selling Scooters In November 2021: Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, Suzuki Access, And More!
Yamaha RayZR topples Honda Dio to acquire fifth rank on the November sales chart
While a few two-wheeler manufacturers are launching new scooters, some players in India have remained eternal favourites, retaining their positions on the sales chart for two months in a row. So in this report, we look at those which dominated the sales chart in November 2021.
Honda's Activa range that comprises the Activa 6G and the Activa 125 has yet again managed to secure the first position on the sales chart. However, the range has witnessed a decline in its monthly and year-on-year sales figures by 36.91 percent and 45.05 percent respectively. In related news, Honda recently unveiled the CB300R BS6 at the India Bike Week 2021 and the neo-retro naked is about to hit our shores on 22 January 2022.

The second position on the list has been again retained by TVS Jupiter. The Hosur-based brand recently introduced the Jupiter 125, which has also contributed to this sales figure. Here as well the case is the same as the monthly and year-on-year sales of the Jupiter range have declined by 38.83 percent and 29.52 percent respectively. While TVS already has the iQube e-scooter the company has just announced expansion and extension of its partnership with BMW Motorrad and through the joint venture both the brands might come up with an electric bike in the next two years.
For the last two months, the third rank has been retained by Suzuki Access 125. While the Access 125 has also witnessed a dip in its sales; however, it's not by a substantial margin. To further capture the sporty 125cc scooter segment, Suzuki recently launched the Avenis which goes up against the TVS NTorq 125 in the Indian market.
The TVS NTorq has been a choice of a lot of buyers when it comes to performance and features, and all this has helped it retain its fourth position on the sales chart of November 2021. TVS has also been working hard with NTorq as the brand has kept updating it over and over again. Recently the Hosur-based brand also launched a Spiderman edition of the 125cc scooter, capitalising on the newly launched movie Spiderman: No Way Home.
It came as a surprise to us as the Yamaha RayZR has toppled the Honda Dio to acquire the fifth position on the November 2021 sales chart. This increase in sales might be a result of the recently launched hybrid variant of the scooter. The mild-hybrid technology has not only made the RayZR 0.2 seconds quicker than the standard model but has also delivered an astonishing 71kmpl in our mileage test.
