The EV brand currently has six products in its portfolio
- Tunwal’s product range caters to the low speed e-scooter segment.
- All six products deliver a range of around 50km to 100km per charge.
- They get features such as a digital instrument console, anti-theft alarm system and a USB mobile charging port.
Tunwal E Vehicle India, a Gujarat-based electric two-wheeler company, stepped foot in the electric space back in 2014. It’s current product portfolio comprises six scooters, all of which cater to the low speed (capped to 25kmph) e-scooter segment. The lineup includes three electric scooters named Storm ZX, Sport 63 - 48V, Sport 63 - 60V and three mopeds. This consists of the Elektrika 60, Lithino-Li 2.0 and the Mini Lithino. We’ve contacted the company for a price list for these vehicles and are yet to hear from them. In the interim, here’s what each one of these scooters has to offer.
Storm ZX:
The Storm ZX is the sportier of the lot in terms of looks but packs pretty much the same features and mechanicals as the rest of the lineup. It comes with two battery options - lead acid and lithium ion rated at 12V, 28Ah and 60V, 26Ah respectively. It takes about 6-7 hours to charge the lead acid setup which offers a range of 70km on a single charge. The lithium ion battery on the other hand delivers 85km per charge and takes 3-4 hours to charge. It’s powered by a 250Watt BLDC motor that offers a top speed of 25kmph. Other notable features include a telescopic fork, a front disc brake, an anti theft alarm system and a digital instrument console.
Sport 63 - 60V:
The Mid Sport 63 steps it up a notch in terms of range. It's capable of running for 100km on a single charge at a top speed of 25kmph. The lead acid variant takes about 6-7 hours to charge while the lithium-ion version takes 3-4 hours. It gets the same features as the Storm ZX.
Sport 63 - 48V
The Mini Sport 63 is positioned to be slightly more economical. It delivers a range of upto 70km on a single charge and takes 6-7 hours to recharge. Its feature list includes a lead acid battery, digital speedometer, tubeless tyres and a telescopic front fork. For additional safety, the scooter comes with an anti-theft alarm, a USB charging port and motor locking system.
Elektrika 60:
The Elektrika 60 gets a conventional moped look with the batteries placed within the floorboard. It’s available in two variants - lead acid and lithium ion, both of which are capable of delivering up to 100km on a single charge. Powering the Elektrika is a 250 Watt BLDC motor with a top speed of 25kmph. Its feature list includes a digital display, anti theft alarm system and a front disc but misses out on a USB charging port. It’s available in four colours red, blue, black and matt black.
Lithino-Li 2.0:
Tunwal has a second scooter range called the Lithino series. The first of which is called the Li 2.0 delivers a range of 70Km on a single charge. It looks like any other e-scooter that has swarmed the India two-wheeler market today. Notable features include a digital speedometer, anti-theft alarm and tubeless tyres.
Mini Lithino:
The Mini Lithino, despite its name, has the battery capacity (12V, 28Ah) to offer a range of upto 70km per charge. It can be fully-charged within 3-4hours and has a top speed of 25kmph just like the rest of the lineup. It gets the same features as the Lithino-Li 2.0.
