TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak witness a major hike in sales over last year

With the rapidly growing electric two-wheeler segment in India, the number of players are also increasing day after day. And within such a competitive market place, gathering sales is surely not an easy task. So let's take a look at how the e-scooters from the well-established brands have performed in November 2021.

Bajaj Chetak

TVS managed to sell a total of 699 units of the iQube in November 2021. Besides, the brand also recently announced the expansion and extension of its partnership with BMW Motorrad, and through the joint venture both the brands might come up with an electric bike in the next two years. Moreover, other than the electric bike, we expect TVS to add the Creon to its e-scooter lineup in India. One of the key reasons for the spike in sales of the TVS iQube is the increase in its sales network and also the subsidies offered by the state governments.

On the other hand, the Bajaj Chetak has also witnessed a major hike in its sales over the last year, as the brand sold a total of 511 units in November 2021. Recently, the Chetak e-scooter also received the FAME 2 subsidy. However, the Chetak still costs almost the same as before, since Bajaj simultaneously increased the ex-showroom price of the e-scooter, with the Chetak Premium variant now retailing at Rs 1,87,390 (ex-showroom Pune).
