TVS iQube S: Same Price, Other Options

Modified On May 23, 2022 09:30 AM By Manaal Mahatme for TVS iQube

Conflicted over spending over a lakh on an electric scooter? Here are some other options that the market has to offer

TVS has updated the iQube, the only e-scooter in the company’s portfolio, with new variants and a bunch of new features. The new ‘S’ variant has been priced at Rs 1,08,690 (on-road Delhi, inclusive of FAME-II and state subsidy).

And while the e-scooter is certainly an interesting proposition, here’s a few great alternatives to the TVS iQube S:

Ola S1 Pro: Rs 1,10,149

More features, more performance and more range… all for a slight premium. The Ola S1 packs almost twice the power and more than 81km range over the iQube. Furthermore, unlike the iQube Electric the Ola e-scooter is available across the nation. The Ola S1’s sales window opens soon, so if you intend on buying one, now’s the right time.

Ather 450 Plus: Rs 1,18,996

If you are not a fan of the Ola electric scooter, the Ather 450 Plus is a great option worth considering. Though this e-scooter isn’t available across the country, Ather has been rapidly expanding to new cities every month. Not only does the Ather 450 Plus pack features similar to the iQube, it also has better performance and looks a lot sharper. However, the Ather e-scooter has less range per charge than the TVS e-scooter.

Apache RTR 160 4V (disc): Rs 1,17,350

The lack of charging infrastructure means you’ll have range anxiety no matter which EV you choose. So, spending less than 10 percent over the iQube gets you a great performance-oriented 160cc motorcycle that has more performance and can be used for both city commutes and highway rides, unlike EVs.

Yamaha FZ-FI V3: Rs 1,11,700

The Yamaha FZ-FI is a frugal motorcycle that has great city manners. So, if you want a bike that isn’t heavy on the pockets (relatively), the FZ is a good choice. Though the bike’s power figure is better than the EVs, it doesn’t match the performance of other bikes in the segment.

Bajaj Pulsar 150: Rs 1,13,459

And that’s exactly where the Pulsar 150 comes in. It has the tried-and-tested formula that’s been appreciated for years. So, not only is the performance good, but is likely to be more fuel-efficient too. And of course, we cannot disregard the iconic Pulsar styling, which stands out even today.

All prices ex-showroom Delhi.
