TVS Scooty Zest 110: All You Need To Know
A feature-rich scooter with a powerful engine or just a budget-friendly package? What makes the scooter tick?
The Scooty Zest 110 is one of the few scooters in TVS’ portfolio that has shown positive growth despite the slowdown in the Indian two-wheeler market. What does it have going for it? Looks, features and a powerful engine or just a budget-friendly package? If you don’t already know, here are five important aspects that make a compelling case for the Zest 110 even today:
Come in six different colours:
In terms of design, the Scooter Zest 110 looks a shade beefier than its younger sibling, the Scooty Pep Plus. It’s offered in six different colour schemes ranging from matte purple, blue, black, yellow and red. The matte series features a dual-tone seat while the turquoise blue livery with the standard black seat is available only in the Himayalan series.
Feature-packed:
Small things come in big packages, and that stands true for the Scooty Zest. It may be small, but it packs a ton of features. This includes premium 3D logos, an LED DRL on the front apron, USB smartphone charger, and boot light. You also have an additional storage bin behind the front apron and telescopic forks for a smoother ride.
Lightest scooter in its segment:
At 97kg, the Scooty Zest is the lightest scooter in its segment. The Honda Activa-i and Cliq, for reference, weigh 103kg and 102kg respectively while the Yamaha Alpha tips the scale at 104kg.
Lively powertrain:
Powering the scooter is a 109.7cc single-cylinder motor that produces 8PS of power at 7500rpm and 8.4Nm of peak torque at 5500rpm. This potent engine will soon be updated to comply with BS6 emission norms and may even get a couple of new features.
Price:
The Scooty Zest Himalayan Highs series is priced at Rs 51,525 while the Matte series will set you back by Rs 53,025 (both prices ex-showroom Delhi). It competes against the newly launched Honda Activa-i, Honda Cliq and Yamaha Alpha in the 110cc scooter space.
