We did report last month that TVS had lowered production of all its offerings; however, the production seems to have ramped up in July. But the sales across the commuter segment, which includes the Radeon, Sport and Star City, is still declining, mainly due to TVS concentrating on export units in July. Expect the sales numbers of these bikes to be positive in coming months, now that the festive season is arriving.

Subsequently, the Raider, iQube, Scooty Pep, Apache range and Jupiter range together have contributed over 50 percent of TVS’s sales, especially at a time when people are on the lookout for vehicles that offer a good value-for-money proposition.

The Jupiter range, however, has witnessed a minor decline in month-on-month sales, and is the second most scooter sold in July 2022. Although, the Honda Activa, which is at the top of the scooter sales chart, outsells the Jupiter by three units to one.
