What are the new updates in the upcoming Hero Xtreme Sports?

We have already reported that the Hero MotoCorp is about to launch the Xtreme Sports soon in India. The bike is an upgraded version of the popular 150cc bike- Xtreme, which was updated recently. And we believe that you all are curious to know that what will be the new upgrades in the bike. So, here we are with the differences between the current Xtreme model and the upcoming Sports version.

 

 

 



 

 

Cosmetic Updates in the Xtreme Sports:

- Bolder headlamp unit with twin pilot lamps, bikini fairing and transparent visor, providing a more aggressive appearance.

- New body colour dual-tone rear view mirrors.

- Bigger and masculine fuel tank with shrouds.

- Sportier body panels, exhaust covers and engine cowl.

- Redesigned front and rear mudguards.

- Split seat and new split-type rear grab rail.

- All-new dash board with analog tachometer and an LCD screen for speedo, fuel gauge and other information.

- Five exciting body color options – NH1 Black, Sports Red, Digital Silver Metallic, Black-Sports Red and Abraxas Inferno Orange.

 

 

 



 
 

 

Mechanical Update in the Xtreme Sports:

- Front suspension has been taken from the 2014 Karizma.

 
Performance Update in the Xtreme Sports:

- No performance updates as Xtreme Sports uesethe same engine and devlopes 15.2bhp of maximum power.

 

 



 
 

Similarities in the Xtreme Standard and Sports version:

- Two Variants- Single Disc and Double Disc.

- One platform with same tubular diamond type frame.

- Single cylinder, 4-stroke, Air-cooled, OHC, 149.2cc engine, mated to a 5-speed transmission.

- Peak torque of 12.8Nm at 6,500rpm.

- 5-step adjustable rear suspension with Gas Reservoir and rectangular section swing-arm.

- 240mm front disc and optional 220mm disc or 130mm drum brake at the rear, with similar design.

- 80/100 front and 110/90 rear section tyres with similar alloys.

The new Hero Xtreme Sports is expected to be Rs. 1,000 - 2,000 costlier than the standard version, and we believe that the above mentioned updates worth that cost.
