The Japanese two wheeler major, Yamaha Motors, has launched a new website christened as revstation, which has a timer set for the 25th March. It indicates that the company is going to uncover something very special on the day, might be the production ready version of the new R25 track machine, unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013.
The website contains a 15 second teaser, looks like a science fiction movie trailer. Extremely short shots in the teaser shows sketch and front view of a motorcycle, which might be the production version of the new Yamaha R25. Another vehicle shown in the video, looks like a sporty scooter with a high capacity engine.
The bike in the teaser is looking much different from the Yamaha R25 concept model at the Tokyo Motor Show, however, some features like its wheels, brakes and suspension system looks similar to the concept model. The engine in the sketch is also looking a small capacity one, which ensures that the bike can be R25.
The production version of the bike was sporting a 249cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin with 4-valve per head configuration, which is expected to churn out a maximum power over 30bhp. The bike will share some design elements with its sibling Yamaha YZF-R15, which will help to maintain the cost of the bike. However, the twin cylinder engine will tend it to cost more than Rs. 2 lakh in India.
