Yamaha Recalls Over 3 Lakh Fascino 125 And RayZR 125 Scooters

Modified On Feb 19, 2024 01:03 PM By Sahil for Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid

This recall includes scooters manufactured from January 2022 to January 2024

Yamaha has voluntarily recalled more than 3 lakh units of its 125cc scooters over what it calls a “brake lever function” issue. This recall includes Yamaha Fascino 125 and RayZR 125 scooters manufactured between January 2022 and January 2024. And, as all recalls go, Yamaha says it’ll repair/replace the affected parts free of charge.

To verify if your Yamaha scooter is included in this recall, you can visit the Yamaha Motor India website where you will find a "Service Campaign/Recall" option, which will direct you to a new page where you can enter your scooter's chassis number and check whether it’s in the affected range. Alternatively, you can call 1800 420 1600 during work hours (9:30am to 6:00pm, Monday to Friday).

Moreover, it is the brand's largest recall ever since SIAM’s (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) Voluntary Code on Vehicle Recall came into effect in July 2012, and is the second largest recall by a manufacturer in India. For reference, the biggest recall from any manufacturer was when Honda two-wheeler India recalled 6,15,666 motorcycles and scooters including the Activa 5G/6G/125, Shine, X-Blade, Hornet, CB 300R and H'ness CB350 in June 2021.
