Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd is all set to celebrate the first birthday of its brand mascot ‘Zippy’, with Zippy Birthday Carnivals at around 120 Yamaha dealers across India from 9th January onwards. The Company had launched its maiden brand mascot last year to promote its first-of-a-kind Yamaha Children Safety Program (YCSP) in India.
On this occasion, Yamaha will also organize its YCSP and Safety Riding Program for women to create awareness about road safety among children and female residents of NGOs Nirmal Chaya, Delhi and SOS Children’s Village, Chennai.
Yamaha will celebrate Zippy Birthday Carnivals with families as well as their children at its showrooms across India, engaging them through various activities. Its lovable mascot ‘Zippy’ will be present to delight children through exciting games, competitions and other stimulating activities. Additionally, Yamaha will organize the Zippy Traffic Safety awareness drive at various traffic signals at different locations across Chennai. Thereby, Zippy will create awareness about road and traffic safety among two-wheeler riders.
Under its ‘Safety First’ campaign, Yamaha had also launched the YCSP last year, along with its brand mascot Zippy. YCSP is a novel social initiative to educate and influence both parents and children about crucial road safety measures. Created to arouse interest among children about the program, the lovable mascot has boosted Yamaha’s brand connect with children and accelerated the Company’s growth. Through this initiative, Yamaha’s vision is to make the entire family safe, since children act as catalysts to usher change in the family.
In 2014, Yamaha organized its YCSP activity at around 706 schools in India, with more than 242,000 students participating. The activity covered 121 cities across the country.
