Zeeho AE8 Vs Ola S1: Photo Comparison
The Zeeho AE8 offers better performance than the Ola S1 but demands a substantial premium
CFMoto has launched the Zeeho AE8 in the Chinese market. The electric scooter offers better performance than our very own Ola S1, but there's a catch. Here's how both the e-scooters stack up against each other.
The Zeeho AE8 gets a sharp, aggressive and futuristic design while the Ola S1 looks sleek and quirky. The fascia of the Zeeho AE8 mounts an LED headlight with a DRL, whereas the Ola S1 uses a dual projector LED headlight unit with a DRL.
Moving to the side, you'll notice that the Zeeho AE8 gets an edgy design while the Ola S1 features a conventional look. The Zeeho AE8 also gets minimal graphics and neon highlights, whereas the Ola S1 gets a neat and clean stance.
On the features front, the Zeeho AE8 comes with NFC unlocking, three riding modes, and a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster (only top variant) that can be paired with a smartphone via the Zeeho app. Through this app, the rider can remote lock, check the vehicle stats, and also locate the e-scooter. The Ola S1, on the other hand, gets keyless operation, cruise control, hyper mode (similar to the Warp mode on the Ather 450X), reverse more, hill hold, voice control, different themes (moods) for the instrument cluster and a Bluetooth-enabled 7-inch touchscreen with navigation. The e-scooter also gets connected features such as calls and message alerts, tamper alert, geofence alert, side stand alert and location sharing.
Powering the Zeeho AE8 is a dual lithium-ion battery pack that delivers a maximum range of 190km and requires six hours to fully charge. The Ola S1, on the other hand, is offered in two variants, Standard and S1 Pro. The former gets a claimed range of 121km while the latter runs 135km. Customers can fast charge both these variants for 18 mins to get a range of 75km.
The Zeeho AE8 is propelled by a Z-Core mid-mounted liquid-cooled electric motor that puts out a maximum of 12.5kW and an astonishing 218Nm. This motor offers a top speed of over 100kmph and takes it from 0-50kmph in 2.6 seconds. The Ola S1 mounts a hyperdrive motor (as Ola calls it) that churns out 8.5kw and 58Nm. The Standard version gets a top speed of 90kmph and sprints from 0-40kmph in 3.6 seconds while the S1 Pro hits a top speed of 115mph and goes from 0-40kmph in 3 seconds.
The Zeeho AE8 is offered in two variants (Standard Version and S+) and four colour options: Starship Silver, Lunar Eclipse Silver, Particle White and Meteorite Black. The Standard variant is priced at Yuan 17,999 (around Rs 2.12 lakh), whereas the S+ will set you back by Yuan 21,699 (around Rs 2.55 lakh).
As mentioned earlier, the Ola S1 is available in two variants: Standard and S1 Pro. The former is priced at Rs 99,999 while the latter costs Rs 1,29,999 (both prices ex-showroom, including GST and FAME II subsidy). Moreover, the e-scooter is offered in a total of ten colours: Marshmallow, Neo Mint, Porcelain White, Coral Glam, Jet Black, Liquid Silver, Matte Black, Anthracite Grey, Millennial Pink and Midnight Blue.
