Sales decline as compared to last month
Bajaj Auto reported an overall 7% decline in its domestic two-wheeler sales last month. In November 2024, the company sold 2,03,611 units, down from 2,18,597 units in the same month last year. This decrease is mainly attributed to the post festive season slowdown.
However, Bajaj experienced an overall positive growth this year. From April to November 2024, the company retailed 16,78,818 two-wheelers, marking a 9% increase over the same period last year. The company's total two-wheeler production increased by 5% last month, with 3,68,076 units rolling off the production line, as compared to 3,49,048 units in November 2023.
In spite of the decline in sales, Bajaj saw strong growth in its export business, with a respectable 26% increase. The company exported 1,64,465 units last month, as compared to 1,30,451 units in November 2023.
Bajaj has been very active this year, from unveiling the world's first CNG motorcycle, the Freedom 125, and to launching the largest Pulsar model to date, the Pulsar NS400Z. The Freedom 125 has made an encouraging debut, and its success is expected to positively impact Bajaj Auto's performance in the months ahead.
