With its good mileage, plush suspension and affordable price tag, the Platina 100 is one of the most popular 100cc commuters in India.
Design
The Platina 100 has a simplistic design. It gets a spacious seat that’s padded well and the handlebar ensures an upright riding posture. Interestingly, for pillions, the bike gets flat floorboards instead of conventional footpegs, which should ideally help in pillion comfort. Among these bits, the bike’s bikini fairing and graphics add a slight sporty touch.
Engine, Mileage & Performance
Powering the Platina 100 is a 102cc air-cooled engine making 7.9PS and 8.34Nm. Paired to a 4-speed gearbox, Bajaj claims that the bike can do a 90kmph top speed. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork along with dual shocks. Braking, meanwhile, is taken care of by a 130mm front drum brake along with a 110mm drum unit at the rear. CBS (Combined Braking System) is standard.
